What We Believe
16 Fundamental Truths

1   The Bible is inspired by God.

2   There is only one God, revealed in the Trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3   Jesus Christ is fully God. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine.

4   Humans were created good and sinless but chose to commit sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

5   Everyone who repents of sin and believes in Christ can be saved from a life of sin and death.

6   We practice two ordinances: water baptism by immersion after salvation and communion (the Lord’s Supper).

7   The Baptism in the Holy Spirit empowers believers for witnessing, holy living and effective service.

8   The initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘speaking in tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout the Bible.

9   Sanctification is a declaration that a believer is holy, and also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil and continually drawing closer to God.

10  The church is the body of Christ and consists of people who have accepted God’s offer of redemption. The church has the mission to reach the world and build a body of Christ-like believers.

11  Ministry leadership is in response to a divine call and is scripturally ordained.

12  Divine healing is a privilege for Christians and is provided for in Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross for our sins.

13  All Christians will one day live with the Lord forever.

14  Jesus will return with His saints at His second coming and reign on earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of Israel and the establishment of universal peace.

15  A final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ.

16  We look forward to the new heavens and a new earth where righteousness will dwell and reign forever.
